Desk and Examination Copies

Desk Copies

If one of our titles is adopted as a text and an order has been placed with your college bookstore for a minimum of 10 copies, we will send a desk copy at no charge. All requests for desk copies must be submitted on school letterhead and include:

• name and daytime phone number of instructor
• name of the bookstore
• quantity ordered
• title and starting date of course
• estimated number of students
• Address to which the desk copy should be sent

Examination Copies

The majority of Open Court books are offered for examination for qualifying professors who wish to consider them for course adoption. Requests for exam copies must be submitted in writing on departmental letterhead. The request should include:

• name and daytime phone number of instructor
• course title
• expected enrollment
• semester or quarter offered
• adoption decision deadline

To cover shipping and handling costs, a check, payable to Carus Publishing, must accompany your request. Please enclose the following fee, per book requested:

• list price up to $35.00: $5.00 each
• list price $35.00 to $79.99: $10.00 each
• list price of $80.00 or more: $15.00 each

Limit 4 books per semester. We regret that we cannot provide examination copies of clothbound books or to mailing addresses outside the United States.
